Better than Chipotle Guacamole

Jump to recipe

The first time I had fresh, real guacamole, I was in college and my dear friend Emily Jennings introduced me to the glory that is freshly made guacamole. For the last 4-5 years, I have made this exact recipe once a week to bring to our weekly small group, and it’s a huge hit. It’s less than 8 ingredients, simple, and incredibly delicious.

What You’ll Need:

Better Than Chipotle Guacamole

10 minutes - serves 10-15

8 avocados

1/4 cup minced onion

4-6 garlic cloves

2 jalapeños

Juice of 2 limes

1/4 cup chopped, fresh cilantro

Salt to taste

  1. Slice the avocados open and discard the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl.

  2. Mince garlic, onion, and jalapeños & add to the bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and stir, mashing some of the avocados (you want it still a little chunky).

  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least half an hour. Serve with tortilla chips, fresh vegetables, or with your favorite tacos.
